On I Spend a Lot of Time Thinking About Hair Removal What About You

@polka dots vs stripes I don't know why I thought I was the only one this happened to. That's silly. But it's nice to know others have this too. Ah, mid-20s hormonal changes, why are you so awful?

On The Open-plan Office

Considering that my open office is currently chatting about one woman growing out her hair... this is a perfectly timed post. I just started in this open office about 2 months ago, so I'm still getting used to it. It is nice to be able to just say, "Hey _______, can you come take a look at this when you have a sec?" but on chatty days, it's really, really hard to concentrate.

On How Much Do You Spend on Groceries Every Week?

I shop just for myself, and I spend about $35-40 per week. I'm a vegetarian and I only buy alcohol 2-3 times a year, so that keeps costs down. I eat out maybe once or twice a week, usually just on-the-go lunches on days when I'm running late and can't pack a lunch.

On How to Make a LinkedIn Profile That Will Actually Help You Get a Job

Understood, but the advice in the article was "say in the summary at the top of your page that you’re looking for new roles (if you are) in whichever industry, company, continent...". To me, that seems like the wrong way to do it because it could backfire if your boss or indelicate co-worker sees it.

On How to Make a LinkedIn Profile That Will Actually Help You Get a Job

But what if the people at your current job see that you've said you're looking for a new job? That would be... not great for lots of people.

I got approved for an awesome airline-miles rewards credit card from AmEx last night! I'm so excited. Alaska, it might take a year or so, but I'm comin' for ya!

On How to Stop Going into Credit Card Debt for the Sake of "Points"

This is really interesting and relevant to my interests. I just got an offer for an airline miles rewards card, and I was planning to research it a little more tonight and potentially apply. I don't fly very often, but I'd love build up points so that when I do fly, it'll be much cheaper for me. I liked seeing an article about a different way that credit cards can be tricky and hard to get away from once you've started. Thanks for the different perspective!
