(Also I accidentally made my Enterprise look like Voyager, I promise I'm not trying to pull a Yglesias here.)

@hellonheels I used to get a lot of those too. My theory was they'd try to swipe control of the domain somehow, then charge you to get it back? IDK.

@Caitlin with a C It makes me fear for summer though. We already had to turn our AC on last night...

@LookUponMyWorks If you have an idea of some areas you'd like to live, LiveLovely.com is a really nice site. It's basically just a better user interface for Craigslist though. As far as places to live that are actually in the district, I'd recommend Columbia Heights, Mt. Pleasant, Bloomingdale, and North Capitol/"near northeast", based on my experience and my millions of friends who've moved recently. You're still not going to find much living alone for under $1,300 though and might have to pay some big fees on top of that for the dog. Even if you don't want to live in the 'burbs, which, who can blame you, VA sucks, you might be better off sticking that out for a year while you get to know the area and maybe make friends who could be possible roommates.

@Blondsak Congrats! I'm sure in no time at all you'll be writing articles about how you don't feel rich despite your high six figure income!

I think we may be going on a low-cost vacation to nearby Baltimore next weekend, rather than to Florida as originally planned (because people keep quitting at work and it's impossible for me to get away for long). Any recommendations on fun/interesting stuff to do? What are the cool neighborhoods for just walking around and hanging out? Reasonably priced don't-miss restaurants?
