On Boston's Taxi Cab Drivers
Parts one and two in the series were also really good! And by good I mean HORRIFYING, but, y'know, journalism.

On Monday Check-In
I estimated $150. But then I twisted my ankle getting off the bus on Friday so I didn't spend any money until today when my dad graciously brought me to Target ($56) and Trader Joe's ($53) to stock up before he brought me back to my apartment. And he gave me Easter dinner leftovers AND bought me lunch before he left. I am disgustingly lucky. Total: $109.

On Friday Estimate
I'm going back to my hometown for Easter, but the ticket's paid for. Tonight I will eat my dad's cooking and pass out. Tomorrow I'm going for coffee twice with two different friends, so $20. And then Monday I may be getting a ride back (free!) but also hit up Target and Trader Joe's while I have access to a car, so... let's say $120. Oy.

On Monday Check-In
Estimated $250, spent... $260, I think! But that includes cupcakes instead of grocery shopping. At least my hair (dye AND cut, and it is now a fabulous plum color) was less than I expected it to be, though I tipped well.

Nnngh. Small grocery run under $20, most likely, but I have plans to get my hair cut and colored this weekend, so I'm estimating $200 again. Ouch.

On Spring Break
The only time I went anywhere for spring break was my first year of grad school, when I visited a buddy who lived in Orlando. We read a lot, took a lot of naps, and spent two days at Disney for free because his boyfriend's dad worked there. It was pretty great, actually.

I estimated $200 because my sister was visiting! Friday: $14 at the hardware store (lightbulbs and soap), and $28.20 for groceries. Saturday: $31 for brunch, $24.64 for comics (DON'T JUDGE ME), $52.43 for drinks and dessert out with my sister, $50.98 for an order from ThinkGeek (they were having a sale and I've been waiting for that TARDIS bathrobe for ages). Sunday: $9.50 for baked goods around the corner from my house, $7.91 for a burrito on the way home from dropping my sister at the bus station. Total: $218.66. Not bad, considering I didn't plan at all for the bathrobe! And now I will spend the week eating beans and rice so I can go get my hair done next weekend.

On Watching YouTube Beauty Videos Is a Cool Way to Buy A Ton of Makeup You Don't Need
I consciously stopped following makeup blogs because of this. Too much makeup I never wear! At least most of it's powder eyeshadow that will last forever.

Haaaa. My baby sister is visiting, and it's going to be a very belated celebration of her 21st birthday, and she is a broke-ass college student which means I am paying for everything. We have plans for brunch tomorrow, at least one dinner out, and fancy cocktails. Plus I'm cooking her dinner, which might require a quick grocery run, and we may or may not hit up a museum. I'm gonna say $200 and hope it comes in under that.

On Zillions: The '90s Kids Magazine About Money
I remember this! It was fantastic! Such a shame it's not around anymore.
