On Doo-Do-Doo-Do-Doo-Do-Doo-Do-Doo-Doo-Do 1 Thing

Mine was to get my mom to dig up my decades-old immunization records so I can submit them to school. Next step is to get her to scan them and email them to me so I can send them on.

On How Much is Your Phone Bill Each Month?

About 4500 yen (around $45) for unlimited data and a small amount of minutes on a smartphone. The number of minutes is very small - but I don't even use 30 min/month so I don't notice. It used to be about 2000 yen more but I got a discount for using the same company for internet.

On Friday Estimate

@highwaysofgold That makes sense! I pay $20-$30 a day if a non-friend cat sitter comes by, and I've been lucky to find dog sitters that charge much less but could definitely see those prices for an overnight. It still seems like a lot of money!!

On What is Your Grocery Shopping Style?

There are three grocery stores, three convenience stores, and one bargain dry goods store on the way from the train station to my house (5 minute walk). Almost every day either the bf or I will pick up a couple of things on the way home - usually produce like greens or an avocado, sometimes a pack of pasta or a can of chickpeas. The cupboards are bare but I'm bad about letting produce spoil if I don't use it right away so it's better for me to go frequently. Every couple of months we'll hit Costco for massive jars of artichoke hearts, blocks of cheese, a case of soy milk. But the bargain dry goods guy also sells random Costco stuff that seems like it fell off a truck, so if he has the stuff I want I put off the trip.

On The Windows Into Our Souls

@stuffisthings My French friend says it's insincere if you don't make eye contact while clinking, it means you don't mean it. Kinda like not taking a sip after a toast.
