On Things I Wasted Money On (This Year)
@cat ferguson@twitter there's plenty of toxins in all food—including organic food (in the US it only has to be 95% organic to get the label). http://opinionator.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/12/11/pesticides-now-more-than-ever/ http://www.realsimple.com/health/nutrition-diet/healthy-eating/juice-cleanse-00100000066884/index.html keep in mind, I've never done one of these. I'm just responding to the toxins.

On Things I Wasted Money On (This Year)
@selenana I have a few friends who do them about twice a year. You can find deals on it for about $150, the normal price is $200 (they did it for 2 people that's why it was $400).

I wouldn't call the juice cleanse a waste. It just seems like you may be misinformed about what a cleanse does. A correct juice cleanse is suppose to detoxify your digestion system. Some people may lose weight during the process, but that's just water weight.

On Figuring out Fares
@RachelG8489 That's weird it doesn't roll over. My company uses wageworks and I just have them send me an unlimited metrocard in the mail each month. I have a pre-paid debit card that I can add pre-tax funds into for bolt bus/airtrain/other city metros/etc.

On Yakkin' About Poverty And How It's Done (Well)
I've been recommending that book non-stop since I read it in the spring. After I got over how sad it was it really opened my eyes and made me think about all of the things I take advantage of in every day life.
