On No One Can Talk About Money
@OhMarie Ah I see. My parents have an unknown sum of money set aside for us for houses/weddings but I'm not really sure how much is in it. I would guess it's a moderately large amount. They are good savers, those parents of mine. I don't know if that counts as a trust fund, I guess it kind of does. I don't think they would just give it to me whenever to blow on cocaine and strippers. Or even pay out a small part of it to blow on those things.

On That's Rich (Unlike Us)
I'm really loving the headline from Canada's biggest newspaper "Young people really do have it tougher" I mean, they've been running articles about how young people have it worse off for at least a year (probably more right) so it's great that they've finally been convinced that what they were publishing is REALLY TRUE.

On Saving Our Pets
A few years ago my dog was very old and she was having unexplained seizures. I was walking her one day and she just fell to the ground and started seizing up. My parents were out of town, my grandmother and I took her to an emergency vet clinic. While we were there, feeling very raw and emotional, a man came in sobbing and carrying his large dog in his arms. He just fell to the ground and kept sobbing. I don't think his dog survived the night. We were given two options by the emergency vet: leave her there overnight to spend $3000 on diagnostics or put her down. I didn't have $3000 to spend, and my parents were not willing to spend it. They said, take her home, if she passes in the night she will be with you and not scared and alone at the vet clinic. The vet made me sign a form that I was going against his medical advice. She lived two more years, happily. Anyway, I agree with the advice on pet insurance. Right now we don't have it, but we should get it.

On Not Paying for Museum Admission Not Worth It
I identify very extremely with this kind of anxiety related to ... whatever situation this anxiety relates to. Being a bad ass I guess.
