On I Want to Live Alone
As a fellow Boston-dweller, she most likely won't find a one bedroom or even a studio for cheaper than $1,000 a month. Finding a 2 bedroom for this amount is, as she stated, literally unheard of and insane for almost every part of boston, and actually seems like the best bet for trying to live alone.

On The Cost of Things in Qatar
This is awesome and I want more. I'm curious about how this experience might be different for a woman?

On I Cannot Carry a Queen-sized Box Spring Alone, And Other Things I Learned This Weekend
The thing about the haircut is that you could get a professional salon haircut for less than you paid for this one, even without the insane tip. It's nice to support your friend or maybe you really like how this chick cuts your hair, but just so long as everyone knows that not all salon haircuts automatically cost 90$ for girls. On You Really Can Rationalize Anything
@Jake Reinhardt I just went to write a comment here and found myself writing what you had already said. I think people are delighted to see Logan's honesty about money, but I only find it frustrating. This is irrational, inconsiderate behavior that gives me no sympathy towards Logan's debt.

On Talking About Money With Friends
I find that I often share Billfold articles with spending breakdowns (Last $100, etc) with friends, and sometimes it becomes a judgemental gossip session ("WHO is spending $50 on brunch?"). But most of the time it turns into a productive discussion of our own spending habbits, and in general makes room for dialogue about our finances. Also DEAD FROM CUTENESS re: photo

On Make Your Own: Chipotle Burrito Bowls
I have been literally consumed with trying to find the exact sour cream they use at Chipotle (because the consistency is so thin and delicious) and I asked a friend who used to work there: it's Daisy brand! They just stir it excessively.

On I Want to Live Alone
@Laura also, I think the first thing to be cut for anyone who's looking to trim their budget is cable, because so much of what is on TV is available on Hulu plus and Netflix instant - subscriptions to those are like 9$ each a month, whereas cable is what, 60$? Plus if you have a wii or something you can watch netflix etc on your TV screen. I haven't had cable since I moved out of my parent's house 7 years ago, and only recently got a cable-less TV, and I don't think I've once missed out.
