On Monday Check-in: Blind Spending
While I've been spending too much in general recently, this weekend was not too bad. Spent a total of $70 on groceries and liquor at the store. $15 on burgers and fries for a friend and myself on Saturday afternoon. I dragged the boy to Ihop late on Saturday and spent $25 on the two of us. And my credit card $25 payment just posted as well.

On The State of Things: It's Hot and Meals Alone, Two Ways
You guys! I'm really excited, because I just checked my accounts and realized my credit cards are almost 100% paid off! I have a $20 return to make to Target and that takes care of that one, and I'll have about $50 in charges coming in to my mastercard from vacation, but next paycheck that will get paid automatically. That means when I get paid next week, all the "extra" money is mine for vacation! And then I can start building up my savings again. Very excited!

@ElBlynx Agreed! And I always worry about people who are ostensibly "poor" in movies spending money. Like when Erin Brockovich comes back from her lost settlement trial-thing and is all "I have $27 in my checking account!" but takes her kids out to lunch because she has cockroaches? Ahh!

I don't know man. . .were you exceedingly poor to the point that an extra $4 would have really helped you out? $20 and installed right there, versus $60 and putting it in yourself sounds like a pretty good deal already. If you can afford it, pay the man what it's worth!
