@tw0lle Matt Groening confirmed a few years ago it's Oregon!
@steponitvelma That is an excellent tip! Thanks. When I was getting back into camping / backpacking and didn't have anything, one of the colleges near me had a program where you could rent all sorts of gear for a reasonable amount. I bought a few things and would subsidize with rental stuff until I was camping regularly enough to justify it. Alumni received a discount, not sure how common this is among other colleges.
I am a huge proponent of NOT letting dishes sit. If they sit overnight, especially on a week night, they're that much more likely to be sitting there all the next day. If I come home and there's a ton of dishes AND cooking to do, forget it.
Does anyone have any recommendations for pet insurance? We recently adopted a 5 year old lab and I'm a bit freaked out after reading this.
@OllyOlly Same, my eye doctor has also told me this is ok. I use that crazy clear care hydrogen peroxide solution which I feel like extends the life of my contacts, but maybe that's not true! Who knows!
I have a standing / tall desk at work with a chair that is tall enough for me to sit when I want. I probably sit 60% of the day. Co-workers love to give me shit when I'm sitting at my standing desk. WHO SAID ANYTHING ABOUT STANDING ALL THE TIME?! We’re moving offices in a few weeks and I’ve been told that I will have to stand all the time because having a chair at my standing desk is a liability or something? I can’t bring the chair I have now. I’m a little nervous about it!
I spent $300 on a used Nokia Lumia 1020 from Ebay a few months ago because I wanted to have a really nice cell phone camera. After I’d had it for a week it stopped working entirely. AT&T replaced it for me because it was still under warranty with them (the phone is less than a year old) and didn't have any cracks or water damage. I almost didn't bother going in to AT&T because I figured they couldn't do anything with a third party purchased phone.
I didn't pay my taxes for several years when I was young and dumb and ended up eventually paying the state double what I originally owed!
Holy shit, after reading all these comments I can’t decide if I want to make a dentist appointment right away or knock my teeth out and call it good. I can get all the nutrition I need via a liquid diet, right?
