@stuffisthings I'm hesitant to say this, because it means admitting to a penchant for totally vapid chick lit, but the book Confessions of a Shopaholic makes so much more sense now. I could never understand why the protagonist wasn't running up thousands of dollars on overdraft fees.

@honey cowl Well, Number 6 is ACTUALLY STEALING. Billfold, come on. An actual no-nonsense interesting down-to-earth financial website would be good. Today is bullshit about theft. Come on. Being young and financially strapped is not "lie your way into museums and steal shit, blame it on being young and carefree."

By Genghis Khat on Wedding Costs from the Dude's Perspective
@WaityKatie Money is there to be spent on things one enjoys. I think weddings come in for extra scrutiny because they're perceived as a female thing (even though they often involve at least one dude) whereas say, getting a nice car does not. Some people can afford different things than other people, and not everyone is obligated to craft their wedding dress out of lentils and serve their guests bbq in a public park. -A veteran of the Jezebel wedding wars

HOW DO PEOPLE NOT KNOW THIS? I was 8 lb 8 oz, born at 6:04 pm. My younger brother (who is now 6'8", BY THE WAY) was 10 lb 10 oz. Huge baby! He was born at 7:11 pm.

I would like to share my awkward Vegas upgrade attempt, but I still haven't recovered from the shame. Thank you for doing this so I don't have to.

Well one annoying thing about this in the UK is that banks would offer really appealingly huge overdrafts to students. Then once they find out you've graduated (and don't have a job, of course, because grr David Cameron) they cut it back to 100 pounds and you have to immediately pay off the other 1,900 or face huge fees. Banks: always finding new and unique ways to be assholes!
