On The Open-plan Office
the only benefit to open plans and semi-open cubes is you have an excuse to wear big headphones/earbuds. I had one open office where that was not allowed and it was pretty terrible. My semi-open cube now is okay because although I sit near the pods of talkative product people, I am in a corner with a window for a wall and I can wear my headphones all day and listen to music and podcasts.

On The Open-plan Office
@Caitlin with a C Oh my god, seriously. My last half-cube was in a hallway outside the CTO's office and the bathrooms and everyone would walk by constantly and chat. Though I have since moved cubes, I still have people come into my cube space and stick their dicks in my face at eye level when I am sitting or just stand behind me without saying anything. It was so bad I had to put down a "do not cross" line in masking tape.

On Don't Buy Expensive Cereal Make Your Own Expensive Cereal
@nap city Oooh, I am jealous. I discovered weetabix in europe where it was priced like any other cereal, but now I live in the States and it costs over $5 for a little box! It's such a boring cereal- and SO GOOD.

On How I Ruined $60.98 in Tights So Far This Year
@Franny Yes! Oh my, how many pairs were wasted before I realized that I should be sizing up because I am tall. They should really adjust those dumb sizing charts on the back. Half the time my weight + height combo isn't even in the colored blob!

@nap city Oh, no, it was two sleeves, like 16 bricks in total..? But STILL that seems pricy to me. weetabix used to be my go-to cereal for a long time because of the price vs. filling nature of it. other cereals feel like you haven't eaten anything an hour after you had it, but weetabix sticks around!
