@foxinabox The world where you just started keeping track of this, so that's pretty normal? Please keep us updated on the business fortunes of the hip milk and cookie bar, though.
@nutmeg Accidentally leaving all the stuff you had in the bathroom is a time-honoured moving classic.
@ATF@twitter Wow, that's awful news. It sounds like "too much food, booze, and talking" is in this case an excellent approach to take. All the best to you and your family.
@ladybug I think this is pretty relevant to my needs. Thanks for sharing!
@wearitcounts in fairness, I chose to react to someone being overly critical on the internet by being snarky and feeling morally superior on the internet, so maybe I should also work on my time management.
@ElBlynx Yes Budget Bytes! And also yes to any kind of substantial soup/stew or chilis. Prime soup season is upon us, seize the day!
The haranguing about the grocery spending was so much fun in the last installment, I'm just thrilled it's happening again. Definitely increasing everyone's zest for life.
I was on doxycycline for a few months to control an incurable skin thing. I did take probiotics, and they helped a bit, but at a certain point the slight benefits were not worth the constant stomachaches and other digestive trouble. It also made me very sensitive to sunlight, which I was generally on top of, except for the time I forgot to apply SPF 30 lip balm before leaving the house and burned my lips in like half an hour.
I have very few concrete financial plans for this weekend besides a $30-35 grocery trip. I'm going to the last outdoor local flea market of the year on Sunday, and hopefully getting a beer at a new brew pub later that day. I'd like to stay under $80 for the weekend.
Friday: beer for house party, $6.80. didn't have time to go to new bar/brewery in neighbourhood before the baseball game started. Saturday: coffee $2.60, groceries $53.50. Way over grocery estimate because a) I ended up making a nice dinner for a friend Saturday night, b) I was out of laundry detergent and dryer sheets, c) hadn't realized it was my turn to buy some household cleaning supplies. Sunday: no money! amazing Thanksgiving dinner at friends' house! Holiday Monday: After a weekend of crappy streams, bought MLB postseason TV for $5. That will pay for itself the first time I stay in to watch a game instead of going out, but I decided to go out to watch the YOLOrioles anyway. Craft tallboy and a pint plus free Jameson's from the gorgeous bartender: $19 including a generous tip. Total: $86.90. Was hoping to stay under $100, so mission accomplished.
