On Can Single People With No Responsibilities Whatsoever Have It All?

@mlh I think it's poor writing to indicate that because someone chooses not to have children, she has no responsibilities. I get that this Logan's shtick that she has trouble being an adult but the title is insulting to the rest of us who do actually get out of bed when we say we are going to, without having to tend to a baby or two. I thought this was a blog about people and money, not the personal blog of Logan.

On Can Single People With No Responsibilities Whatsoever Have It All?

@Megano! That has absolutely nothing to do with her claiming that people are single and childless have no responsibilities.

@pawnknee Right! Logan, you have a job! And bills to pay! And plenty of other things that make up responsibilities! Sorry that you can't get out of bed on time but that doesn't mean the rest of us single/childless folks have nothing worth doing.

On Internet Giving

This is frustrating to me. There was a food blogger whose husband died suddenly and the food blogging community raised over $80,000 so the woman and her family wouldn't lose their home. Turns out the woman is pretty well off and wasn't going to lose her home. She is now saving that $80,000 for her daughters' college tuition, which isn't what people thought they were donating to. Planned Parenthood needs money all the time and helps everyone but people are donating to a bus driver they have never met?

On 'How many billions of dollars do you have to launder for drug lords before somebody says, we're shutting you down?'

@EvanDeSimone It's not a generational thing because there have always been "jazzy" soundbites so long as there has been newsreels at the movies and radios and people have always been complacent. Probably because when they do try to stand up and protest, nothing good happens. Read about the WWI vets who marched on Washington for their pensions in the 30's. If that's not a reminder as to why protesting is scary, ineffective stuff, I don't know what is.

@Morbo It's better than what everyone else is doing, which is nothing. Someone has to start somewhere.

This woman is a-okay in my book. I don't know how the people behind her can sit with such straight faces and how the guys she is interrogating can answer without throwing up. I really hope her actions encourage other new senators to start speaking up for the people they represent.

On Betting on Love, Leveling Up and Leaving Atlanta (Part VII)

I don't think you can get a TEFL certificate without a bachelors in something, so don't sweat it, especially if you enjoyed learning about economics in school. School should be more than just a way to get a job, at least in my opinion. Good luck! I can't wait to see where you guys end up.

On WWYD: The Obnoxious Coworker

@Jenny Cohen Kabaker@facebook Why do you think the letter writer has undiagnosed Aspergers? Because she thinks her obnoxious co-worker is obnoxious? I'm an adult and I expect my adult co-workers to act like adults. Everyone has quirks and weird habits but it is not my job to help my co-workers or classmates grow up.
