On In ATM News

Mike Dang how much do you want to sell your ipod for? I can't afford a new one so I'd like to get a used one but I don't really trust one from a random person. Since we don't *know* eachother, I guess you're still a random person, but you run a fantastic blog and seem like a great guy so let me know if/when it's for sale. :-)

On What Happens When You Lose Your Money Abroad

@readyornot This is why I love the UK. People really will go out of their way to help you if you are polite and sincere. In America it's less certain.

On Wonderful Opportunity! Great Experience! (No Pay)

This has made me so angry (as a poor-ass hopeless classical musician myself) that I can not type a coherent comment. So: FOR THE FUCKING LOVE OF GOD PAY THEM

On How My Job Search Has Been Going

@Jenna Quaranta@facebook I've heard that they are highly sought after in the UK actually - I guess that red hair is a prized trait over there.

On How My Job Search Has Been Going

@MaliceMunro This made my heart hurt a little for you. You are not a worthless piece of shit. Not anymore than I am, or anyone else in our boat. I just want to also say that if it comes down to prostitution or moving back in with your parents, you should move back in with your parents.

On How My Job Search Has Been Going

Oof, I feel ya on this one. I just graduated as a Music Education major, had a traumatic experience in student teaching and decided for sure that I will never teach in a public school, and am now applying to non-MLS requiring library jobs that won't pay as much but will keep me from having a panic attack every day. I want to focus on applying to grad school for vocal performance or pedagogy (haven't decided yet) but I'm presently too focused on my dwindling bank account. A job will fix this. Trying to find a job is HARD. Especially when you are SO OVERQUALIFIED. Many people do NOT understand how hard it is to send out a resume when you know that you are most likely going to be turned down because the middle aged person looking over your resume who gets a healthy paycheck with benefits got the job you are applying for with half or less of the experience and education you currently have and will be deterred by it. Or, if they see you have a degree in fine arts and automatically assume that you are incapable of doing fucking anything. RAWR. Good luck to you kiddo.
