I drive. Not counting car repairs, which come up a little more frequently than I would like, I spend about $120/month. My employer provides parking and the car is paid for, so this is just gas and insurance.

@honey cowl I called the post office to complain about my mail multiple times. That was a 1 thing that turned into like 8 things, so victory?
I spend about $30 a week for one person. This is all food except I usually go out for about 1 lunch and 1 dinner each week.
@cjm This is incredibly correct. Not only are there huge barriers that come with the cost (or having to hustle to get the waivers), but being a first generation student comes with what I think is a huge lack of knowledge about pretty much everything associated with going to college or a professional school. I remember thinking that it was ridiculous to pay $1000+ for an LSAT class, so I just asked my parents to buy me a $20 prep book for Christmas, which seemed to work out fine, but when I told people at law school that I didn't take a class, they were appalled. Unrelated, I thought about writing something like this about how much it costs to take the bar exam, and really wish I had because this is a lovely post.
@Michelle LeBlanc@twitter Yeah, that got really sad really quickly.
On one hand I'm optimistic because I am out of school for the first time ever, so can/should get a real adult job. On the other hand, I don't have such a job lined up and have moved back in with my parents.
I hate being the only person saying this, but I would have probably gone back, unless I was in a big hurry to get somewhere, then I probably would've felt bad about causing a hassle and given the cashier a tip. Mike probably always tips at coffee shops, but I usually don't. This comment makes me feel like Scrooge McDuck.
The past few years I've done something different each time. One time I hosted, last year I went to a friend's, and this year a friend invited me to her parents'. But on Black Friday, my boyfriend and I are going to have second Thanksgiving so that we have all our favorites and all the good leftovers.
@MilesofMountains Yeah, I saw Brave New World and got worried, but then I thought, well, literature, maybe, even though that girl looked a little young. But then it got much worse.
@mczz Please tell me more about this "Cupcake Camp."
