On How Much Do You Spend on Transportation Each Month?
A monthly buspass here costs like $130, but I can't justify it unless I have to go to work every day. But then at the same time, I feel so limited using the stupid tokens (which are really easy to use). I always find myself hoarding them, and not then going out to things as much as I should. It is a problem, but I am not making enough money to justify the cost of a pass right now.

Oh OK, if it's just $100s I cannot confirm this.

On TV, A La Carte
When I first got cable, when I was like, 19, I actually thought it worked this way, and actually called the cable company to set up just the specialty channels and I was so confused and mad when they told me they couldn't do it. Oh yeah Mike Dang, you are DEFINITELY the vet. I would say that Logan is Juliette. Who is a mess, but we all kind of love her, right? (I love her, anyway).

On I Made $570K Last Year, But I Don't Feel Rich (In Fact, I Feel Worried)
Wow, you have a 2-3 year cushion and STILL don't feel rich!? That is just...insane. I can't imagine having that much of a cushion for just myself, much less 4 other people.

On How Star Trek Does Money
They've also done Game of Thrones (but failed to acknowledge what I think affects Westerosi commerce the most -- the winters that can last years), so I would say it's only ONE of the nerdiest things Slate has ever posted.

That desk is piiiimppp. I would defintely have more used stuff than I already do if I had more access to a car.

On How Much Do You Spend on Transportation Each Month?
@planforamiracle Yes! Running errands here is kind of a nightmare, cuz you just can't do that! I used to live in Ottawa too, and you could use your transfers for up to an hour and a half, so if you're just running quick errands it is SO SO GOOD. I actually didn't even realize this was the case here for a while, cuz no one noticed I didn't have the right transfer stubs or whatever?
