Today in Things to Spend Your Money On: Breathing Room

Turns out peace and quiet is not priceless. A new app offers hyped-up, stressed-out urbanites a chance to buy themselves a Breather.

Take refuge from the daily grind. Our unique spaces provide you with the privacy and quiet you need to make a phone call, have a meeting or catch up on some z’s. Breather rooms are designed to give you the perfect time-out experience; whether you need fast wifi, a desk or a comfortable couch to kick back and read on. Think of us as your second home or office, wherever and whenever you need it. … You can reserve a space for 30 minutes, a few hours, or the entire day.

Breather is for people who want to work or relax in private. Our spaces are more comfortable than a hotel lobby or coffee shop. You can even use them to take a nap. Whether you need a few minutes for a phone call or an afternoon for a time-out, Breather gives you the peace and quiet you need.

As well as “pencils, pens, notepads, candy and other helpful stuff. Some also include dry erase idea walls.” Sounds great! So, will everyone use them for sex? Not if the FAQ have anything to say about it.

The app is free on iTunes. If you use it, let us know how it goes! That means you, Devon.

You Are Forgiven

TO: LOGAN FROM: MEGAN SUBJECT: I FUCKED UP

Someone must know and it might as well be you. I was on an airplane and signed up for Boingo Wireless and I chose the recurring monthly plan because it was initially cheaper than a one time use plan (thrifty). But then I forgot to cancel it and it charged me $5 for two months and then $10 for one month before I noticed, and also, on that last charge my bank account balance was overdrawn so I got a $30 overdraft fee. I hate myself. —Megan
