This month "making it" in Los Angeles looks like this: David lost his gig and Ceda’s doing a lot of stand-up. They're navigating life changes together and separately and also discuss expenses for their cats (not in this column, in real life). Here are the highlights.
You guys. It’s raining! WETPOCALYPSE 2014 is currently demolishing the Los Angeles area with rage-geysers of precipitation. Water is falling from the sky. We’d go to Smart & Final to stock up on supplies, but the roads are closed and we have no power so can’t even get our parking-lot gate to open.
Increasingly, I find myself feeling guiltier and guiltier over some of the stuff that’s been going on with me as it impacts our working relationship.
Ceda: Now that we’re locals and have a plan, meetings have become more purposeful. It’s no longer "Hey, we’re new in town," but more presenting ourselves as a team and what we’re doing in Los Angeles.
Everyone seems to have a way of summing up Los Angeles.
