2 Cool Jobs: Fake Coder, Fake Graphic Artist
A new tumblr looks at screenshots of code in movies and TV shows and deciphers where it’s from and if it’s real. At Wired, Devon Maloney talks to John Graham-Cumming, the programmer who started the blog. Graham-Cumming has found that most code on screen is lifted from other sources or made up, but he thinks some films, like Iron Man and The Social Network, are using code written specifically for their productions.
Our pal Christian Brown is a motion graphic artist familiar with this kind of work. He’s created fake websites for film and also worked on the best fake video game ever, Grown Ups’ CRUISE SHIP WARS. (“I got to make those old people getting their heads cut off,” says Brown).
