this is great. I’m glad to hear you appreciate what a dick Christopher would be in real life, too, because one big reason I cannot read typical romance books (as opposed to like, action-y books with a romantic subplot, which I devour) is that the male lead is almost always horrible that way. Constantly shouting “NO, YOU ARE AN ABUSIVE DIRTBAG” in my head really ruins the magic.

@stuffisthings Imma vote yetis. Haven’t spotted any yeti romance yet, but it’s perfect. Adventurous lady hiker spots something strange on a backpacking trip, becomes obsessed with finding the truth and understanding the tender, strong, lonely-but-afraid-of-rejection soul she’s encountered. Not sure how to make yetis impossibly physically beautiful though, figuring that out could be the hook that gets you a breakthrough bestseller.
