		<description>@Theda Baranowski I love corn! Also, the neighborhood I grew up in was actually built on a cornfield. Like, huge flocks of Canada geese still nest there in the winter. Corn definitely wasn’t the issue. I guess rurality isn’t either. I’ve just never really been privy to the kind of privilege required to be shocked by diversity or racial difference in school or in professional settings. Her shock shocked me. I have always had to make friends with people who looked different from me. As a I result, I also believed that people who looked different from me would believe that I was worth befriending. </description>
