Shopping at the Office

“She said some people admit to devoting three or more hours to shopping while at work.” — Trae Bodge, a shopping expert at deals site RetailMeNot, regarding Cyber Monday.

The rest of the time was spent reading blogs, checking our bank accounts, instant messaging our friends, and talking to coworkers about their Thanksgivings and weekends. Did anyone get any work done yesterday?

ha, i came back to 97 new emails. so, yeah. i did some work.

Yesterday was my regular day off from work (I work 9-hour days and get a day off every other week) so I was shopping online all day.

There are a few more things on my list, but I won’t be buying them at the office– I feel weird about entering my CC info on my work computer, since keystroke loggers are a thing they might use in my office. Probably I’m too cautious, but at least it saves my valuable work hours for internet comments.

I didn’t have any money to partake, but I don’t really work on Monday anyway.

I had a doctor’s appointment that came to engulf more than half my day, so I did do some work in the whopping three hours I was in the office. (I actually might have gotten more done due to the compressed timeline than I would have if I’d been in the office all day as usual…)

I got absolutely nothing done (I don’t count responding to emails and stuff “work”). Not because I was shopping (though I did look at Modcloth’s sales), but because I was getting sick and generally feeling lazy. Today has been incredibly productive so far, which is insane, because I have only been here an hour. It feels like it should be 3pm. Blerg.

Changeling (#126)

Yes, because I don’t work in front of a computer.

ABSOLUTELY ZERO WORK. I did not even respond to ONE EMAIL.
