Elections Do Have Their Consequences

The last time I saw this guy in person was just before the 2004 election. He was ranting about Kerry’s plot to “take away his guns.”

This is why we can’t have nice things.

“in lieu of a tip, a donation has been made in your name to the human fund”

iffie (#1,911)

Yes! Spend money printing business cards to tell people who served you that you have no money. That will get ‘em!

Bill Fostex (#573)

@iffie my soulmate!

ThatJenn (#916)

@iffie They will totally call for an immediate recall election to remove Obama from office and not just think you are a dick who can’t budget!

iffie (#1,911)

@Bill Fostex YOU REMEMBERED!

Bill Fostex (#573)

@iffie ONE NEVER FORGETS ONE’S SOULMATE!

emilies (#956)

@iffie this is my favorite: “Some may choose to push secession in their state legislatures.”

EDIT: that’s actually only as far as I got. I keep discovering more nuggets.

EM (#1,012)

@iffie “I plan to make up a bunch of buttons, and wear them around town, sayings like “Democrats are Communist Pigs,” or “Welfare moochers steal from hard-working Americans,” “Only Nazis support Seat Belt laws” or “No Smoking Ban: Nanny-Staters go Fuck Yourselves.””

This is satire right?

iffie (#1,911)

@Michelle You would think, right? Especially with the seat belt bit but no. Here he is again: http://nymag.com/daily/intel/2012/11/eric-dondero-boycott-democrat-libertarian.html

Can’t get enough of his craziness. It makes me feel so bad/good.

emilies (#956)

@Michelle “When I’m at the Wal-mart or grocery story I typically pay with my debit card. On the pad it comes up, “EBT, Debit, Credit, Cash.” I make it a point to say loudly to the check-out clerk, “EBT, what is that for?” She inevitably says, “it’s government assistance.” I respond, “Oh, you mean welfare? Great. I work for a living. I’m paying for my food with my own hard-earned dollars. And other people get their food for free.” And I look around with disgust, making sure others in line have heard me.”

SERIOUSLY HOW IS THIS NOT A JOKE?

EM (#1,012)

@iffie OMG so jealous of the reporter who got to craft those tantalizing thought experiments.

@iffie Time to tell any Democrats you know to fuck off and die Oh well okay then.

@emilies To be fair to this gigantic asshead, I used to do something similar (and similarly obnoxious) to anyone who worked at a local convenient store that refused to sell condoms (UDF in Ohio). I would walk up to the register, ask if they had condoms based on ‘family values leadership’, and when they said no, said to any male with me “looks like it’s another abortion, then!”

The difference being THAT I WAS 20. This guy is way too old to be forgiven.

nonvolleyball (#305)

@Jake Reinhardt I’m not gonna pretend my own opinions aren’t coloring my assessment of these two stunts…but, that said, I’d argue that “people without access to birth control are more likely to need to have an abortion” is TRUE in a way that “people who are on public assistance don’t work for a living &/or are lazy” is NOT.

ThatJenn (#916)

I think the “2 people like this” part is what surprises me most about this rant.

At first I totally processed MSM as standing for “men who have sex with men,” but I suspect he doesn’t mean that (though I’m sure he blames them, too!).

Bill Fostex (#573)

@ThatJenn Believe me, he does (blame them).

nonvolleyball (#305)

@ThatJenn & gay dudes HATE it when you cancel your cable. drives ‘em crazy.

hopelessshade (#580)

According to lawyer-boyfriend, not only is this dude a massive dickwad, but asking who an employee voted for and firing them based on their response are both highly illegal!

jfruh (#161)

People know that federal taxes have not gone up, like, at all during the Obama Administration, right? There was a $400 per person tax *cut* for 2009 and 2010 (the “Making Work Pay” credit) that ended, so I suppose that might count as a tax hike, but then in 2011 and 2012 there was the payroll tax holiday that worked out to roughly the same amount, so.

It is true that starting next year, as part of the funding for Obamacare, Medicare FICA taxes will go up 0.9% on the portion of your income above $200,000 a year. So if, for instance, you make $250,000 annually, your taxes will go up $450 a year. This surely is money you would have set aside for tipping.

@jfruh Yeah but we all know that THIS time around THIS Democratic president is going to take away our guns. Definitely and for sure this time. Right?

Brunhilde (#78)

Can I wash his car if I voted for Gary Johnson?

Most of the crazy on my feed was from people back home, which is kind of filled with Libertarian nutjobs. I looked at the tally and less than 100 people voted for Gary.

etc etc (#1,913)

@Brunhilde And some yuppies, if you live in Ashland!

Brunhilde (#78)

Less than 100 in my county, I mean! And this is a county that Perot got a majority in.

thematt (#1,017)

TO THE TOOTH!

wearitcounts (#772)

@thematt i actually cannot stop giggling.

wearitcounts (#772)

my favorite part of this might be the misuse of the apostrophe in the Very. First. Word.

nonvolleyball (#305)

@wearitcounts come on…it’s not like that’s a matter of national important.

Why is his name blacked out?

Facebook posts have consequences!

@stuffisthings Yeah! This isn’t reddit we’re talking about!

Bill Fostex (#573)

@SarcasticFringehead But this is, unfortunately, my family (albeit fairly distant) we’re talking about!

Will Murphy (#2,255)

Thanks for this. It absolutely made my day.
And there is no arguing with this. He’s too far into it now to see logic. Also, who really thinks anything is as important as cable?

Kerry@twitter (#2,243)

#4 Threaten to hold your breath until the electoral college “takes it back and says they’re sorry”.

littleoaks (#1,801)

Before being hired by anyone to do work on: their car, law, house cleaning, home repair, etc., ask them for their business card. If it reads “Obama’s government has taken all my money,” RUNNNNNNNNNNN.

r&rkd (#1,657)

What makes these sorts of statements all the stranger is this is probably one of the less significant presidential elections, for these reasons.
