Ben Sprecher wanted to bring REBECCA to Broadway. Mark Hotton said he could help. HE LIED and now there’s a federal investigation and all this lost money and it’s a MESS. I was all ready to feel sorry for Ben Sprecher, even after he only admits to conducting a “cursory google search” on Hutton, until this line:

“‘Do I feel like I was duped?’ he said. ‘I was duped. I was raped.’” (AH NEVER USE THAT WORD UNLESS YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT ACTUAL RAPE YOU JUST LOST, LIKE, THE ENTIRE INTERNET’S SUPPORT. DO NOT WAKE THIS BEAST.)

We may never have Rebecca on Broadway, but we’ll always have this.
