Ok, so my take is thus — more and more women have become part of the workforce, and are excelling in the workforce, and yet corporate culture has done nothing really to accomodate women’s needs, like having kids. Which is bullshit! I’m not sure you should have the baby at your desk necessarily, but I do think that there should be daycare on site so you can go and see and feed your baby as much as you need to. I mean, this will probably never happen in a million, billion years, but it should.
I am totally a person who would want to bring my dog to work if I worked a 9-5 though. (he is sort of like a baby)
@Megano! yeah, if I could be guaranteed that wherever I will work would have nearby, or on-site, subsidized daycare, then I would maybe want to have kids. And it would be way better for working moms, and, maybe one day in the even more distant future, there would be less stigma for men to do these things.
@theotherginger Yes! There is definitely no reason why Daddies can’t take advantage of this! Most men complain about not getting to see their kids enough!
