BUT is Thirsty Thursday at all like "Dollar Day" at Lone Star Park? Because that was TERRIBLE- so many people, such long beer lines! I went to a Frisco Rough Riders game once but hadn't realized there were minor leauge games so close! We went to Ranger's game recently (friends had free tickets) and brought all our own snacks and were still upset by the cost of booze (that margarita may look tall but is there any booze inside?) @RosemaryF Ooh I live quite close to Grand Prairie! I have actually seen the Albuquerque Isotopes play, and they are a real thing. They lost to another team, but that team had an inferior name, so I don't remember it. I'm from St. Louis, so Cards games are a given, but I've also seen the River City Rascals play more than a few times, and it's always a good time. I have always wanted to go see a Cyclones game, but all of them seem to be scheduled at a time when I'd have to leave really early from work just to make it. I LOVE minor league ball. Everyone should go to Triple A baseball games! Better prices, sometimes cheaper beer (Raley Field Thirsty Thursdays, I'm looking at you), watching some guy play in Sacramento one day and on the A's the next and then for the Yankees a few years later - not much to complain about. (It's also the only significant sporting event I can attend in the Sacramento region, I don't have much choice but to get reeeal into it). Yes! Everyone should go to Triple A baseball games! Better prices, sometimes cheaper beer (Raley Field Thirsty Thursdays, I’m looking at you), watching some guy play in Sacramento one day and on the A’s the next and then for the Yankees a few years later – not much to complain about.

(It’s also the only significant sporting event I can attend in the Sacramento region, I don’t have much choice but to get reeeal into it).

I did this a lot (with friends) in Chicago--driving out to the boonies for a $7 baseball game. Watching kids run the bases while drinking cheap nonshitty beer (Two Brothers sponsored the team!) and eating hot dogs was the best fun and also Very American. Oh man, yes!
