Holy shit, I didn’t know Laura Park had cancer. I used to read her stuff all the time. I’ll have to order a book of hers or something when I get home, or see if she’ll be at SPX.

Our “healthcare system” is disgraceful and barbaric. Land of the free to lose everything because you got sick.
There was a really great and hilarious radio story (on This American Life, I think) about a guy who had uninsured emergency appendix surgery.
