Things You Don’t Have to Do

Here’s some advice for people who don’t want to go to weddings: Nobody is forcing you to go. If you don’t want to go, it’s okay to say no.

Seriously? “I don’t want to go to any more gay weddings because I’m already burned out from going to straight ones”? “My friend’s pantsuit made me think about lesbian sex, eeeww”?

Love this. I wish he’d talked about whether these mostly established couples in their 30s also asked for gifts. But the best part is the person who comments on how gay weddings are wacky and different since they’re unfettered by church, basically. All my favorite people and weddings are unfettered by church.
