I had a HS English teacher my senior year who gave us a very similar document for a final. It was a great final bon mot to the senior class that year. And the first instruction was "read through these instructions before continuing?" And the last was "do nothing on this page?" And most of the kids rushed through and did everything in the middle of the page anyway? That's what CNN made me think of. They didn't take their time to read the whole opinion and came off looking like a bunch of impulsive 8 year-olds. Also, it is not lost on me that this is the same news network that called the 2000 election too early. It seems that lesson has been long forgotten in the rush to be first.
