Learning How to Budget in 1948

New way to procrastinate: Watching old instructional films from the Leave It to Beaver era. (Thanks to Sadie Stein, whom I met last night, for sending.)

Wow at 0:32 the creepy guy looks like he’s about to do something very unpleasant to his Pete’s Super Delight.

Also it looks like I’m not spending nearly enough on Benevolences and Family Welfare.

These aren’t nearly as fun without Mike, Kevin, and Bill.

When time-travel is invented I am going back in time to make sure my ex watches this at a young and impressionable age. Haha.

Seriously though, I cannot tell you how much I love this! & all the rest of these films. There is going to be so much educational-film-watching in my near future, thankyou :)

Also it is funny how all these old films are (obviously) super old-fashioned but unlike most of the others (about marriage and manners etc) this one also feels very relevant now that as a society we’re all having to re-learn how to budget & save etc after so many years of living on easy credit.

So glad you enjoyed! This one is far more useful, but I still have a soft spot for “The Snob.”
