Apples and Water Without the Apples
William Foster wants to sell you you tap water from a hose for $1. Is he on to something? He just might be. A shop just opened in NYC’s East Village with a similar offer, but no novelty hose. They are selling tap water in glass bottles for $2.50 (it’s filtered, but whatever). Plus: no apples.

You know what other water is filtered? TAP WATER.

And if you really want to drink tap water out of a used glass bottle, you can a. buy a bottle of Nantucket Nectar/Snapple/whatever ($1.70), drink it, fill with tap water, OR be a tap water purist and dig an old bottle out of a public trash can, wash it in tap water, and then fill it with tap water ($0.01-ish).

That article read so much like an Onion piece I kept checking to make sure I was really on the Wall St. Journal site.

Or you could find a TapIt location and fill up your water bottle at a restaurant for free.
