But cracks about Lil' Kim's appearance always make me wince -- not only because a) I love her and b) general feminism reasons but also c) she's spoken in interviews about how her plastic surgery was largely influenced by the pressure she felt to conform to white beauty standards... I totally get that it's a toss-off joke, but thought I'd throw some Queen Bee defense out there. (Unless it's meant to refer to her performance? In which case, fair game.)
