I lived in Dearing Garden for 2 years and it was the best. $325/mo, walking distance to downtown/EVERYWHERE, and so much more charming than the big student apartment complexes.

So basically what I’m getting from this is that you can have a perfectly nice apartment in NYC for the same price or less than a comparable apartment in Edmonton. WTF! Why am I still here?!? My last apartment was $1000/month, and although it was conveniently located, it was less than 600sqft and it wasn’t that nice.

ah! i also went to uga. i never lived in any of those apartment complexes for students, though. i lived in a series of amazing ramshackle houses in the boulevard area, which were all wonderful and not a terrible bike ride to north campus. never paid more than 300 a month. also. 283! i have one of their pbr boots in a box, somewhere.

I went to UGA, lived in Moose Club and now live in NY, and I think I’ve said the first sentence you wrote out loud about 8,000 times since I moved here in 2000. It’s depressing. I would sell my soul for a washer and dryer.
