Cupcakes in the Morning
“We merely moved our $22 bag of cupcakes from the Magnolia Bakery out of the way to avoid having it splattered with blood and went on with our conversation.”
— I don’t know why I didn’t know about these daily diary entries submitted by readers to the Times City Room blog, but I came across this entry this morning, and was a little troubled—somewhat because of the blood, but mostly because half a dozen cupcakes from Magnolia Bakery costs $22 (they’re $3.50 each). And they’re not worth it!

Agreed; the cupcakes are not that good. The banana pudding, on the other hand, is totally worth moving out of blood-spatter range.
@ennaenirehtac You can make it at home too. It’s so easy. But then you have like a gallon of banana pudding to eat which a good/bad problem to have.
(Cue curmudgeonly voice:) Ugh, I remember when cupcakes at the bakery were like 75c.
