The WSJ has compiled a roundup of must-use websites for “finance novices.” The usual suspects make the list (Mint.com for tracking your spending, CreditKarma.com for checking your credit report) but they also share less well-known services, like Veritat, which offers online financial planning courses for the low price of free. I have accounts at most of the sites they mention, and here’s a hot tip: Signing up for regular emails that you then re-route into your spam folder will not a finance expert make!
