These Glow-in-the-Dark Quarters Are Amazing

Canada gets unfairly stereotyped as our really nice roommates who live in the attic and turn us down when we try to invite them downstairs to the dance party we’re having in the living room. “Hey, come join us!” we say, but they’re all, “No, we’ll stay up here with our nice healthcare! You go ahead and do whatever you’re doing down there. Have fun!”

But, I secretly love our Canadian roommates a whole lot. Because they clean up after themselves! And they just did this really smart thing where they got rid of their pennies because pennies cost more than a penny to make.

And now they’re introducing this glow-in-the-dark quarter! With a dinosaur on it! The dinosaur turns into a glowing skeleton at night, which, how cool is that? Like most kids who grew up during the release of Jurassic Park, I was obsessed with dinosaurs. I am jealous of your quarters Canada!

I also heard on a Canadian podcast this week that there are new Canadian $100 bills that SMELL LIKE MAPLE SYRUP. It’s true!

Megano! (#124)

OMG if I get one I am keeping it forever.
Although apparently the Canadian Mint is experimenting with creating some kind of weird, digital money? And I was like, “well I already do that, it’s called a debit card.”
