Protip: If you&#039;re going to quit your job and launch your own business, make sure you have a good savings account—or other sources of income—or else you won&#039;t be able to survive.</description>

		<description>Oh man I am so loving the &quot;how people make a living doing _____&quot; posts. Would love to see something about bloggers -- I&#039;m particularly interested in how writers and editors for the various Awl verticals are remunerated.

Given the stated mission of this blog vis a vis talking about our earnings, and the strong interest that certain Awl founders seem to take in how writers do or don&#039;t get paid online, it would almost be weird if you didn&#039;t talk about it at some point.</description>
