My boyfriend's grandmother took us on a free cruise/tour to Alaska last summer. She paid the fare, and our only expense was supposed to be plane tickets from SF to Vancouver. $5k later, we had a great trip with no regrets, but won't be accepting any "free" vacations again any time soon. Basically, she didn't realize that shore excursions weren't included, and we ended up paying for all three of us. She never asked how much it cost, but I'm pretty sure if we had all just paid our own way, the total cost to BF and me would have been about the same or less.

Oh, I did this EXACT THING immediately after graduating from high school. A friend's mom had a Disney time share that she let us use and JESUS our free vacation ended up being expensive. It was a learning experience for my 18 year old self.

You get a slow clap for getting through two "50 shades of grey" books. I tried to read the amazon preview and it sort of made me want to die, but also sort of made me want to read all of them immediately. Is it worth it (ie: trashy/interesting enough) to overlook the crappyish/redundant writing?
